Makerere University Medical Students Then and Now
Julia Interviews Makerere University Students, William Lubega, Nelson Igaba, Nixon Niyonzima and faculty member Prof. Ian Munabi at Mulago Hospital in Uganda in August 2006. The students talk about addressing the U.S. National Library of Medicine's consumer database MedlinePlus.gov for the African context. In the process, they address cultural and language barriers in order to gain trust, educate and treat the general population at the village level.
